These are not far-fetched warnings since we’ve seen another neighboring county sheriff’s office face similar questions about elusive records while undergoing investigation.
Furthermore, it would be helpful to allay public concerns by having the Pinal County Attorney’s office provide periodic updates on the progress of these and possibly other investigations involving the PCSO.
The public, and the Sheriff, deserve to know that the investigations are proceeding in conformance with the legal principle that justice delayed is justice denied.
