Community Alliance Against Family Abuse Qualifies for Working Tax Poor Credit
You can make a contribution to help women and children experiencing abuse and it won’t cost you a penny.
The Working Poor Tax Credit allows you to reduce the amount you owe in taxes, dollar for dollar, by the amount you give to a qualifying organization, like Community Alliance Against Family Abuse (CAAFA). By giving up to $400 as a married couple filing jointly, or $200 for an individual, before December 31, 2013, you can claim the Working Poor Tax Credit on your 2013 Arizona state taxes.
“The Working Poor Tax Credit is a great opportunity for people to direct their tax dollars to help people in our community,” said Elizabeth Ditlevson Garman, CAAFA’s Executive Director. “Donors receive a dollar-for-dollar credit on their Arizona state taxes and help serve victims of domestic and sexual violence at the same time!”
To qualify for the 2013 Working Poor Tax Credit, donations must be received by Tuesday, December 31st. Donations may be donated securely at http://www.caafaaz.orgr you may deliver a check to our office at 185 N. Apache Trail, Suite 1 in Apache Junction Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, or by mail to PO Box 3778, Apache Junction, AZ 85117. Make checks payable to CAAFA and write Working Poor Tax Credit in the memo.
